Over the past year, there have been significant changes in the office dynamics, leading to a toxic work culture that is a cause for alarm. As a dedicated employee who has been with the company for several years, it pains me to express my growing dissatisfaction and disenchantment with the current situation. The issues stem from poor management practices, a culture of favoritism, and the implementation of rules that contradict the values and goals of our organization. Despite attempts to address these concerns in the past, they have been largely dismissed, leaving many of us feeling unheard and demotivated. It is crucial to emphasize that my dismay is not related to the nature of the work itself, but rather the oppressive atmosphere that has engulfed the office. The once vibrant and collaborative environment has been replaced by a sense of dread and disillusionment, making it increasingly challenging to perform at our best. I urge you to consider the gravity of the situation and take swift action to rectify the underlying issues. Our office, once a beacon of positivity and productivity, now stands on the brink of irreparable damage if the necessary changes are not implemented promptly. I remain hopeful that this message will reach the right individual who can initiate the steps needed to restore the integrity and morale within our team. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 2.0 Open May 12th, 2024 05:42PM May 12th, 2024 05:42PM Invitation Homes

nyse:invh https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=666277 May 9th, 2024 12:00AM Open Open Invitation Homes Manager of Others Chicago, IL Urgent Attention Needed: Concerns About Office Environment While the pros of working here had been highlighted as the flexibility of hours that is no longer the case. There has been a noticeable shift since the change in leadership, leading to a toxic work culture that is becoming increasingly difficult to overlook. Employees who have raised valid concerns have been disregarded, with dismissal and reassurances that time will resolve the challenges associated with change. However, it is important to note that the issue lies not in the change itself, as our team has always adapted well to new circumstances, but rather in the negative impact of the new leader's management style. The current office atmosphere is marred by favoritism, micromanagement, and a pervasive sense of fear and anxiety. The authoritative approach to leadership, characterized by intimidation and a lack of openness to diverse perspectives, is creating a hostile work environment where employees feel reluctant to voice their opinions for fear of reprisal. This dictatorial management style is overshadowing the collaborative and growth-oriented culture that was fostered by our previous leader. Moreover, it seems that there is now more emphasis on maintaining appearances within the office rather than addressing the fundamental issues that affect our business's success. The lack of focus on market-driven strategies and individual growth is leading to a sense of disillusionment among the team. As someone who values this company and the positive work environment we once had, I feel compelled to raise these concerns with the hope that appropriate action can be taken to address these issues. I believe that with the right leadership and support, we can regain the enthusiasm and productivity that defined our workplace in the past. I urge you to consider the detrimental impact of the current situation on employee morale and the overall success of our business. It is my sincere hope that proactive measures will be taken to restore a more collaborative, inclusive, and growth-oriented culture within our office. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 1.0 1.0 2.0 4.0 4.0 1.0 4.0 666277 Open It is essential that we meticulously evaluate the properties we consider important when selecting a leader to ensure that they meet all our requirements and represent our brand effectively. Similarly, when it comes to promoting employees, we must not only focus on their skills and performance but also assess whether they are the right fit for the position and align with our office culture. By paying close attention to these aspects, we can create a more conducive work environment and enhance the overall success of our organization. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 0.0 Open May 11th, 2024 08:31PM May 11th, 2024 08:31PM Invitation Homes

It is with a heavy heart that I express the deteriorating culture in the workplace. The pervasive level of micromanaging has created an atmosphere of constant scrutiny and has left many of us feeling as though we are walking on eggshells. The once vibrant and collaborative environment has given way to one that is unpleasant and uncomfortable, causing unnecessary stress and anxiety among employees. Furthermore, the unrealistic workloads that have been imposed on us have made it increasingly challenging to maintain productivity and meet the demands of our role. With additional tasks being added to our plates and time constraints becoming tighter, it has become apparent that the office is heading in a direction that is not conducive to our well-being or success. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 3.0 3.0 1.0 1.0 666277 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 0.0 Open May 10th, 2024 05:43PM May 10th, 2024 05:43PM Invitation Homes
nyse:invh https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=666277 May 8th, 2024 12:00AM Open Open Invitation Homes Concerned Employee Chicago, IL Toxic workplace The company is known for its dynamic leadership, innovative approach, and willingness to embrace new opportunities. The company is a fantastic workplace with great Ideas and strategies. They are highly innovative and willing to take risks in order to stay ahead of the curve. The local VPO at our company is single-handedly destroying the positive culture that we have worked so hard to build. It is disheartening that we have to resort to posting anonymously to express our concerns, but the fear of retaliation is very real. The VPO consistently shuts down any ideas that are not her own and refuses to listen or collaborate with others. Her attitude of being the boss and nothing else is toxic to the working environment. Employees feel as though they have to walk on eggshells around her, afraid of her. It is not uncommon to witness her demeaning and disrespectful treatment of others, yet they continue to endure it without speaking up. Her unprofessional behavior extends to using vulgar language in the workplace, making some employees uncomfortable. The fear of retribution is so strong that even participating in our Peakon survey feels risky, as she may easily identify the department from which a comment originates. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 5.0 5.0 1.0 5.0 666277 Open It is imperative that the executives take note of these concerns and take swift action to address the situation. This is not just a personal dislike for the VPO; many of us share these sentiments but are too afraid to voice them openly for fear of losing our jobs. A change is desperately needed to preserve the positive culture and morale within our company. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 0.0 Open May 11th, 2024 08:31PM May 11th, 2024 08:31PM Invitation Homes

The culture committee would try do something at least once a week to break up our day. Even if a small game it was great. Laughs and getting to know your co-workers. With the old VPO Very flexible work hours and schedules, Now new VPO comes in and squashed everything. If not her way then it's the highway. She also is constantly using vulgar language in the office. Which make it very uncomfortable. Favorites are very obvious. She makes everyone come into the office 3 days a week and dictates our schedules but there is one person who only has to come in once a week. Our Magners below her have no say. If she changes her mind you better be prepared to pivot and do it her way. A big power trip.
