I felt like I had to find things to do while I was there, and I never had anything to do until there were customers. My feet always ached even though they didn't make me do anything in particular. I felt like I would go crazy in the store just listening to their terrible playlist on loop. That being said, it was not a very demanding job.

Maybe holiday hours .working late and working early the next morning

Macys is a very positive , healthy place to work. It’s like a family supporting each other .

It’s a place I look forward to going . I enjoy my coworkers and my customers. I sell fragrances so sales and customer service is my focus.

Really not a good place to work. More obsessed with arresting shoplifters than creating a welcoming atmosphere to shop in.
Small location, limited selection doesn't help either. The macys in the cities are better.

Scheduling often wasn’t as flexible as advertised.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part of working at Macy’s is the people you work with. My managers and fellow coworkers have always been so kind and accommodating to my schedule. I absolutely love Macy’s with all of my heart ❤️ The flexibility in scheduling has been so helpful.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Communication between associates and with managers can be difficult at times. Sometimes they don’t communicate when someone doesn’t show up to work.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is so open, warm and inviting. I absolutely love the people I work with. The culture is very inclusive and amazing.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day for me involves helping customers find what they are looking for in the store, checking them out at the register, checking the cleanliness of the fitting rooms and putting merchandise back on the sales floor. Sometimes I work all over the store in any department. I mostly work in Women’s Clothing.

Too much to say. Macy’s keeps their staff underpaid. Morale is bad especially since managers are moved up within without any people skills. Maybe they were great at opening Macy’s accounts but poor communication skills therefore not very skillful at managing people. .
