Cold calling turns you into a money-hungry automaton, dialing numbers with robotic precision, reciting scripts like a broken record, all in the pursuit of squeezing every last penny out of unsuspecting souls, whether they need what you're selling or not.
Imagine being the unwelcome guest at a never-ending dinner party where no one wants to hear what you have to say. That's cold calling in a nutshell. You're interrupting people's lives, invading their privacy, all in the name of pushing products or services they may not even want or need.
It's a numbers game, they say. Dial enough numbers, and eventually, you'll strike gold. But at what cost? Your humanity? Your sanity? The focus on remote work is so appreciated in our new world, post 2020. My work-life integration is balanced, and I feel the freedom to run my desk and provide excellent customer stewardship, while feeling like my life doesn't suffer.
